Cereal Straws, Stockpiling and other Publix Deals...

This week I stocked up on some BOGOs at Publix... I had a few coupons but sure wish I had more. The deal would've been much sweeter with two coupons to add to each BOGO. The best part was this...ds2 has been asking and asking for Kelloggs cereal straws. He must have seen it advertised on a commercial, because he can say the little jingle. Anyway each week we have been in Publix I have had to tell him, "No, not unless they are on sale or I have a coupon." I bet the poor guy thought he'd never get those cereal straws... cause he asked me "Mom how long are you gonna be doing this coupon thing?" lol! So I was thrilled when I was checking the Publix flyer to see a BOGO on what else? Kelloggs cereal straws. It certainly isn't something I would buy regularly....but what a great treat for both of my sons. Their eyes lit up when I asked/told them..."Guess what's on sale at Publix this week, Buy one get one free?" "CEREAL STRAWS!" :-) Yeah Mom!

Except for the 18 ct. eggs, (which I got at Sam's Club) this is what my Publix bill was....
Before savings and coupons.... $64.xx
Final total $28xx
Saved 56% not too bad.

Wanted to show my latest stockpile I've been accumulating over the last two weeks.... with Bi-Lo's triple coupons and Walgreens savings.... I think we are set in the TP department for awhile. lol! I have nowhere else to store it!

That's a lot of TP!!

I shop at Publix, too. It seems harder to work out good coupon deals there. I guess I should start picking up their fliers so I can plan better!

Hi Jackie..thanks for stopping by my blog. I have enjoyed reading yours and some other money savy moms blogs. I am trying to cut down our grocery budget and your blogs and others have been a huge inspiration!
