I'm concerned...are you concerned? I just wrote my state representative to ask that he carefully consider all the options concerning this bailout. (I know Dave Ramsey is advocating one method, and I truly don't have enough information to support or recommend it. That is why I asked that our state representative carefully look at all the options.)
I don't know what the answer to our country's economic problems are... but I DO know adding to our National Debt is not the answer. I am alarmed at how quickly such a huge decision is being rushed through, when Congress many times cannot agree on seemingly straightforward bills. This proposal has tentacles all over the place, and I wonder if anyone is looking carefully at all the ramifications.
Here is one article I found and I'm sure I'll be posting a few more in the days ahead. Click Here

Ummm - I am a little concerned too. My question is - who's next to be bailed out, because nothing sure seems to be helping the economy much these days.
It scares me. I shook my head in disbelief at the news last night.
I'm nervous about this, too. I don't know what the answer is...but what's wrong with the government backing off all together and letting the rules of economics work their magic? More debt is NOT the answer.
Anytime the government wants to bail out millionaires and billionaires for their misfortunes (that has caused the entire economy and America to suffer), we should be concerned.
Personally I think that the government should stay out of it except to tell them to reduce their salaries (especially the oil CEO's!!) and make them live off less. Seriously, do they need 25 million or more a year?? I don't think so.
If the government does bail them out, and it looks like they will, then I think those in charge that have caused this, should lose their high paying wages.
Once the government does this, they will continue to take over our lives, little by little. I'm totally convinced of that.
I'm Republican, but I'm sick of George Bush and I think this is a bad, BAD idea.
Stepping off my soapbox now.....
:o)
